Learn More About Our Perma Play System!

2-Layer Safety Surface System

Our Perma-Play 2-layer system safety surface is a poured-in-place option and constructed of the finest raw materials available for outdoor and indoor play areas. Comprised of a SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) base and an EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) wear coat, both are blended with the highest grade binders available in the industry. Our soft playground surface product is truly superior and built to last. Attractive and long-lasting, Perma-Play is clean, durable, and installed by our highly trained, certified installation crews.

Wet Stencil Custom Designs

Pro-Techs Surfacing are experienced artists when it comes to custom poured-in-place graphics. Custom graphics are an excellent way to bring a greater sense of imagination to your outdoor playground area. Stencils are used to create imaginative designs such as flowers, butterflies, bumblebees, sea creatures, or a variety of other graphics that fit your playgrounds theme. We never use razor blades or cuts to create graphics, they are done with wet to wet seams that ensure the rubber material binds properly at color changes. The sky is the limit on what worlds we can create with a custom poured-in-place rubber project!

Pro-Techs Surfacing FAQs

What makes Pro-Techs different than other PIP?

– Pro-Techs offers turnkey installation of PIP surfacing in your play area. We can take care of the excavation of your existing surfacing for a full replacement.

– Pro-Techs uses wet seam stencils to create custom graphics compared to other companies who use razor blades and other blunt methods.

– Pro-Techs has an in-house supervisor on site during the complete installation process from preliminary meetings to grand opening. Our team has experience laying thousands of square feet of rubber and we bring that knowledge and experience to every job site. We will walk you through each step of the process and ensure no stone is left unturned.

How expensive is Pro-Techs PIP?

A variety of factors affect the cost of Pro-Techs Safety Surfacing:

– Total square footage of the project

– Custom graphics and premium colors

– Critical fall heights of play equipment

– Existing conditions of the play area

– Site security and waste removal

What is the difference between Aromatic and Aliphatic Binder?

Aromatic and aliphatic binders relate to the type of urethane (glue) used to seal the rubber surfacing. Most projects use aromatic binders because it is less expensive and equally effective.

However, aromatic binders cause the surfacing color to amber as it cures. This ambering is temporary and will go away from wear over time. Lighter colors are more prone to ambering compared to dark colors. Aliphatic binders do not experience ambering.

Does cold weather affect PIP installation?

The urethane binder used in PIP systems cannot properly cure in ambient temperatures beneath 50F or above 95F.

Although we have had successful installations below the recommended temperature, those were based upon site specific factors including minimal humidity/moisture, nominal pad size, and satisfactory curing time before the sun sets and/or the temperature dropped; in combination with heating the binder and/or product on site.
